The Journal of Environmental Research and Technology is affiliated with the Environmental Research Institute (ERI) of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR). Originally established in 2004 under the title “Environment,” the journal was renamed to its current title in 2016. In alignment with ERI’s mission of conducting interdisciplinary research, this biannual publication aims to disseminate innovative and applied studies that address the pressing environmental challenges.
Furthermore, the Environmental Research Institute signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Iranian Environmental Assessment Association in 2022.
The journal obtained its ISC indexation from the Islamic World Science Citation Center in 2022, which was renewed for another two years in 2025.
The Journal of Environmental Research and Technology was awarded a ‘B’ rank in the 2025 scientific journal evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran.
Plagiarism Screening:
The journal uses plagiarism detection systems for manuscript evaluation. All authors are kindly requested to check their manuscripts using either Irandoc or Hamta Joo prior to submission, and upload the resulting report (certificate) in PDF format along with other required documents to the system.

This journal follows the guidelines and standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
