About the Journal
The journal “Environmental Research and Technology” is affiliated with the Environmental Research Institute (ERI) of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR). It was originally established in 2004 under the title “Environment” and was subsequently renamed to its current title in 2016. ERI initiated its activities with interdisciplinary research objectives and has successfully pursued them ever since. Similarly, the biannual journal Environmental Research and Technology follow these same objectives, aiming to publish innovative and applied research addressing the country’s environmental challenges
The journal welcomes submissions from researchers in the following scope:
Environmental Engineering (water, soil, air, and noise)
Environmental Pollution
Environmental Planning, Design, Assessment, and Land-Use Planning
Waste Management and Circular Economy
Environmental Management and Education
New Technologies in Environment
New and Clean Energy
Climate Change and Environmental Hazards

Water Resources Management
Furthermore, the Environmental Research Institute signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Iranian Environmental Assessment Association in 2022. The journal obtained its ISC indexation from the Islamic World Science Citation Center in 2022, which was renewed for another two years in 2025. In the 2025 evaluation by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology’s Commission of Journals, Environmental Research and Technology was awarded a Grade “B” rating
